Responsibilities

The Operations Financial Analyst will support EnLink's Permian Operations and Corporate Finance teams in an individual contributor role by delivering insights to real-time financial information that will aid in managerial decision making and continuous improvement. The position necessitates a dynamic and self-motivated individual that can create, comprehend, and articulate insight from detailed analysis, develop a strong understanding of the business, and communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization. The position will report to the Operations Finance Manager and work intimately with the Senior Director of Permian Operations and Permian Operations Administration team.

  • Ownership of the quarterly budgeting and forecasting process, as well as the monthly financial flash update process for the Permian Asset Team.
  • Execute the data collection, preparation, and analysis of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to management regarding Permian Operations financial performance relative to various budget scenarios and corporate benchmarks.
  • Create Excel models to analyze key operating expense drivers and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for deviations from corporate targets.
  • Actively participate in weekly operations meetings to gain an understanding of ongoing activity that may result in cost variances.
  • Monitor leading indicators such as non-budgeted spending, equipment breakdown trends, project timing and scope changes to provide financial impacts.
  • Monitor and forecast truck fleet replacement schedule.
  • Monitor financial performance of rental compression fleet and reconcile invoices for proper run-time shortfall credits per contractual agreements.
  • Assist Operations Finance Manager in aligning and coordinating Permian stakeholders on cost improvement efforts using insights from cost models to optimize profitability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or related discipline. Master's degree in business administration or finance preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the energy industry.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and success in financial analysis, problem solving, and cross-functional communication.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong background in preparing and updating presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Ability to quickly interpret, analyze and execute ad-hoc requests.
  • Microsoft PowerBI, Hyperion, and Anaplan experience is preferred.
  • Ability to handle complex analysis with minimal supervision.
