PT Peer Support Advisor (Grant Funded)
Position Requirements
Specific position responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- The recruitment, onboarding, and training of student peer support mentors.
- Provide direct supervision to peer mentors.
- Facilitate the organizations of on-campus and virtual student led education and awareness events.
- Serve as point of contact for San Jacinto College peer support services.
- Promote peer support services to the campus community and students.
- Track and maintain program data.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to maintain processes and systems that improve the quality of student support services.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and to prepare written and electronic documents.
- Ability to plan, implement, evaluate, and report activities conducted.
- Ability to travel to meetings, other campus locations, and administrative offices.
- Knowledge of FERPA laws and regulations.
- Ability to communicate and present to large audiences.
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
Required Experience
- Minimum of one-year (part time and/or nonprofessional) experience in student activities, university center, community outreach, basic needs assessment, community resources, or closely related experience including social support programming.
This is a grant funded position.
