We are looking for a dedicated Credentialing Coordinator like you to join our Lubbock Heart team.

What You Will do in this Role:

  • Compile and maintain current and accurate data for all providers.
  • Complete provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications; monitor applications and follow-up as needed.
  • Maintain and insure copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage and any other required credentialing documents for all providers.
  • Maintain corporate provider contract files.
  • Maintain knowledge of current health plan and agency requirements for credentialing providers.
  • Set up and maintains provider information in online credentialing databases and system.
  • Track license and certification expirations for all providers to ensure timely renewals.
  • Ensure practice addresses are current with health plans, agencies and other entities.
  • Process applications for appointment and reappointment of privileges.
  • Track license, DEA and professional liability expirations for appointed ASC providers
  • Maintain appointment files, and information in credentialing database.
  • Audit health plan directories for current and accurate provider information.
  • Maintain professionalism when coordinating requests for information in regards to credentialing files.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient, physician and hospital information.
  • Provide credentialing and privileging verifications
  • Other duties as required.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma.
  • Associate degree preferred
  • Two years of relevant credentialing experience.
  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred
  • Ability to work proficiently in software applications related to project needs i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook as well as ability to learn new, if required.
  • Ability to build documents in software applications with minimal or no instruction.

Your Shift: Full Time, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital specializes in the care of cardiac, orthopedic, nephrology, urology, and general medical patients. We are also a highly active inpatient center mainly centered on surgical procedures that include cardiothoracic, orthopedic, urology, and general surgery. We have a 24-hour Emergency Department with 5 fully equipped ED rooms, 4 fully operating OR rooms, 4 cardiac catherization labs with 1 electrophysiology room, 11-day surgery rooms, 58 acute care beds spread over three units, and 16 cardiac critical care rooms. We pride ourselves on giving the best overall care possible to our patients and on our family style atmosphere that includes everyone: patients and their families, physicians, and our employees.
