We are currently looking for a Sales Analyst who craves a role encompassing a diverse range of responsibilities that will support their ongoing growth and development, spanning from day-to-day operations to exciting projects and initiatives.


The Sales Analyst is responsible for coordinating all documentation for the credit and contract submission process, the collection, analysis and reporting of sales data which helps the sales team improve productivity toward attainment of set sales targets. Key responsibilities include preparing sales analyses, reporting, and forecasts for all sales activity to evaluate performance against current sales goals. The Sales Analyst is expected to work closely with other departments to improve processes and communication relative to CRM pipeline tracking systems and data contained within for use with all sales reporting which includes administrative management of CRM system.

Responsibilities

CRM/Pricing Management

  • Responsible for management of CRM/Pricing systems to include user set up, permissions and module structure management relative to layout and data field option modifications
  • Manage Master CRM data set used for all sales KPIs, OKRs & metrics reporting
  • Guide MPG teams in following processes set for input of opportunities and data into CRM/Pricing systems.
  • Responsible for reporting and communication of data accuracy ofall MPG/MOC groups, customer and prospect data in CRM/Pricing systems.
  • Provide technical support of CRM/Pricing systems relative to user access, function and troubleshooting

Documentation, Planning, Analysis, & Reporting

  • Support sales team throughout sales cycle to meet customer needs.
  • Manage lead generation efforts for accounts in MPG market areas.
  • Develop and maintain data base of utility natural gas tariffs.
  • Develop client reports: such as invoice charges, volume, hedge, estimated monthly invoice charges, as requested.
  • Supports Sales Executives regarding non-standard terms and Support sales team throughout complete sales cycle to meet customer needs
  • Shepherds pricing opportunities through the credit and legal approval processes
  • Supports Sales Executives in escalating non-standard terms and conditions to management and legal as appropriate
  • Ensures pricing documentation is in compliance with customer requirements and company standards
  • Ensure data is entered in a standard format for CRM, Pricing, Credit team, and Legal team and communicate deadlines for internal responders
  • Maintain, analyze, manage, and improve comprehensive sales reporting
  • Develop, manage and communicate daily, weekly and monthly financial and sales activity-based reporting, including sales pipeline reporting and monthly forecasts
  • Ensure that constructed reporting and analyses are defined, efficient, and scalable
  • Provides reporting on OKRs/KPIs established for the sales team
  • Provides sales data to sales leadership in support of weekly/monthly reports to senior management.
  • Manage and communicate weekly and monthly sales win reporting for internal communication and sales executive's incentive compensation.
  • Maintain Report Group Management database used to align customer naming convention across multiple ERP systems and CRM/Pricing/Billing systems for use in Sales Analytics, Business Analytics and Financial reporting throughout the organization
  • Utilize technology resources, applications, and data to develop innovative tools, reporting, and analyses (CRM, SQL, VBA, Excel, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Provides ad hoc sales pipeline reporting for executive team as requested
  • Keep current on business processes, system functionality, and existing reporting


Position Requirements

\Formal Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Knowledge & Experience

  • Natural gas or energy Industry knowledge preferred
  • 1-2 years business to business experience preferably in an analytical type of role
  • 1-2 years' experience maintain data, generating reports and extracting data within Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems such as salesforce.com

Qualifications & Characteristics

  • Ability to capture and document reporting requirements from multiple sources
  • Minimum one year customer relationship management preferred
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Access skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Outlook skills
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • The ability to multi-task

Work Environment

  • 40-hour hybrid work week once training is completed (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components
