Manager, Business Development - Eastern Hemisphere
JOB SUMMARY
The Eastern Hemisphere Manager, Business Development is
responsible for maintaining existing customers, as well as expanding the
customer base in the assigned region. Identifies new business opportunities that will enhance Owen's market
share expansion. Develops business plans
and strategies that support Corporate goals and initiatives. Works in synergy with both the Eastern Hemisphere
Regional Business units and senior Owen management to achieve specific goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the
following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Position can be located in DFW area.
- Manage the business development phases of opportunities.
- Relationship building with new and existing clients.
- Cold calling and follow up on leads with targeted accounts.
- Lead proposal and sales development activities.
- Maintain a monthly forecast of sales opportunities in the pipeline.
- Work closely with management team and others, as needed, to develop and implement strategic planning.
- Develop strategies for establishing partnerships and business relationships to market the Company's products and services and manage such relationships.
- Develop and validate viable business models for business partnerships and acquisitions.
- Seek out and research prospective projects through phone calls, travel, attending conferences, and utilizing the internet.
- Market new and existing customers through creation, development and implementation of various business solutions.
- Provides support to upper management in sales negotiations, contract development, due diligence, and other business development or alliance development projects.
- Strong presentation skills required.
- Available and agreeable for frequent international travelling.
- Independent and demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.
- Good time management skills required.

- Monthly Business Development activity reports including Sales Force data management.
- Demonstrate teamwork with Operations.
- Customer entertainment as appropriate.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully,
an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are
representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's
degree required, with a concentration in Business or a technical field such as
Engineering or a General Science preferred. Ten years' experience in business development, marketing, or sales is required.
Minimum 5 years of marketing/sales management experience.
- Must be computer
literate. Capable of using
Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Position requires being on
call 24 hours, 7 days per week.
- Must exercise independent
judgment.
- Must be proactive and have
an enthusiastic approach.
- Must be dedicated to
selling our products & services.
- Ability to interact
effectively with client and Company personnel.
- Have and maintain a valid passport.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Proficiency
in the English language is required. Additional languages are a plus. Ability
to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals.
