The role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Supplier Relationship Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key contributor, you will play a crucial role in the development and execution of a supplier rationalization plan and strategy aimed at optimizing vendors across various dimensions, including quality, capacity, systems, and responsiveness. This role involves working closely with business partners, procurement, legal, third-party risk, and information security teams to facilitate new supplier evaluations and onboarding, ensuring alignment with business requirements and compliance standards.

What you'll do:

The Supplier Ecosystem Analyst will help SoFi better manage vendors and the communication with internal teams by:

  • Development and execution of a supplier rationalization plan and strategy.
  • Documenting current supplier capabilities, business requirements, and overall performance.
  • Identifying and continually pursuing cost and service improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements with suppliers.
  • Facilitate new supplier evaluations and onboarding, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Managing supplier spend and contributing to budget forecasting efforts.
  • Intake and verify supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinating with the Risk team to support enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships within the Risk supplier community.
  • Researching and resolving disputes with suppliers, participating in the development of corrective action plans.
  • Conducting ongoing supplier performance monitoring and onsite reviews.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers to identify performance gaps and drive solutions.
  • Establishing process improvements for suppliers and enhancing interactions within the organization.
  • Providing reporting to various levels of executive and management forums.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience in vendor management, negotiations, or account management.
  • Experience managing or leading projects/workstreams.
  • Strong working knowledge of supplier management best practices and industry trends
  • Proven experience driving initiatives to achieve cost savings and efficiencies through strategic vendor partnerships and innovative solutions
  • Proficient in computer skills, including spreadsheets, word processing, and business solutions software.
  • Familiarity with navigating and interpreting complex procedures, policies, and agreements.
  • Strong team-building, relationship management, and project management skills.
  • Robust business analysis and problem-solving abilities, including data manipulation and analysis.
  • Ability to multitask, work effectively in a team environment, and adapt to changing priorities.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in financial services with exposure to fraud prevention, credit strategy, collections and recovery, risk management, and/or a related field

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and location.
