Reporting to the SVP - Operations, the Vice President of Project Management Office (PMO) is an Agile Coach responsible for managing the PMO and guiding the transition of existing work management practices to an embrace of agile practices. The role will analyze the existing work management program and implement improvements designed to support continuous improvement, create efficiencies, and deliver value. The VP PMO Agile Coach will have strategic and operational responsibility for helping to align work efforts with business goals, driving innovation, and accelerating the delivery of the right products to market in a fast and efficient manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Sets the vision of the Agile PMO, and builds, coaches, and maintains a highly engaged and inclusive team culture. Leads and transforms a team of Project Managers and Scrum Masters.
2. Oversees the performance management, hiring, training, and development of the team. Establishes and drives the adoption of Agile principles and Scrum practices across the organization.
3. Coaches senior leadership on agile practices, ensuring adoption of best practices from the top down. Creates, implements, and refines the work intake and prioritization processes.
4. Cultivates internal stakeholder, partner, and leader relationships to secure and expand partnerships, and execution success. Works with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of products.
5. Utilizes Agile principles to identify, communicate, and resolve issues and roadblocks hindering progress.
6. Champions the use of key performance metrics (KPI) and other objective measures by teams.
7. Develops dashboards and reports that leverage lean metrics to track and report progress.
